A Simple Example

A Simple Example:to measure the voltage of a battery directly with a voltmeter

Let's make a simple example experiment together. In this experiment, we are going

to measure the voltage between the two ends of a battery cell with a voltmeter.

a) Run Jhksoft Electricity  Lab.

b) Click "New" button in the Tool Bar to create a new experiment.

c) Click Battery of Power Supply Category in the Components Box with the mouse

and then click at a chosen place in the Experiment Zone to lay the Battery inside

     the Experiment Zone.

d) By the method, lay a pointer voltmeter inside the Experiment Zone.

e) Next, we are going to connect these two components with linking wire. There are

corresponding terminals on each component for the connection of wires. In

Jhksoft Electricity  Lab the symbol "+" is used to indicate a terminal for connection.

The correct method to connect a wire: click with the mouse at one terminal "+",

move the cursor away and click again at the other terminal "+". By so doing

the two terminals will be connected with a wire. While connecting terminals with

wires, a wire always can make a turn if clicked at any free space inside the

Experiment Zone. After connection of a wire, the turning point can be dragged with

     the mouse.

f)  Just like the situation in a real experiment, as soon as the completion of the wiring,

the voltage between the two ends of the battery is clearly indicated.

g) Jhksoft Electricity  Lab also provides the function for

reminding when a wire is wrongly connected. For example, if you happen to

connect the two ends directly with a wire, the battery will surely be short-circuited. In

such a case, the software will identify the mistake automatically and pop up an

    alarm.

To delete a wire, right click the wire with your mouse, choose "Delete" in the

    pop-up menu and click it.

By this simple example, we are sure that you have already a brief understanding

of Jhksoft Electricity Lab. If you want to make more

electricity experiments, please have a look at the various components for experiments

provided by the system.
